Awesome. Great job. Does it have a package manager? I wonder if it could handle Python and Oracle DB Express Edition.

Hmm... on my Luma3DS New 3DS XL, I get "arm9linuxfw by xerpi" on the touchscreen, and garbage rainbow screen on the top screen. That's it, no linux prompt or anything like that.
It does say "3DS Linux by xerpi" and "loading /linux/zImage..." before the garbage appears.

Am I doing something wrong? Using Luma3DS Chainloader from Luma3DS 8.x with the Rosalina module enabled.
I think the zImage file is corrupt.Re-download it and put the zImage to the SDroot or /Linux/.

  1. Copy firm_linux_loader.firm to the SD (if you are using Luma CFW copy it to the luma/payloads folder).
  2. Run the .firm file
How to run .firm file?
Are you using Luma3DS?Update Luma to the latest version and hold start on boot. Then select firm_linux_loader.

What is Luma chainloader? Im new in this ><

GodMode only can launch to start buttons on turn on 3ds?
Press start on boot to enter the chainloader. It displays all *.firm files in /luma/payloads/ , and you can launch *.firm file via it.If you cannot enter the chainloader, update Luma.
If you place the godmode's *.firm file to /luma/payloads/Right_*.firm ,you hold right allow key to launch Godmode9.

I have a question, can you run Linux x64 apps, or does it have to be .sh only. Also does it have graphical support

You can run Linux ARM apps and it has graphical support.

It may be possible to run Linux x64 apps via qemu, but that has been untested.

So I am building a 2d unity project, and my options of export are:

1. Linux _x86

2. Linux _x86_64

3. Linux _X86_64 (universal)

I wanted to test that build on Linux on 3ds, what would your recommendations be? can I run it as ARM file

It's much faster for you to register as a Nintendo Developer and get a copy of Unity for 3DS.

4. None of the above

Check the documentation for any mentions of building for ARM architecture, but it probably pays off a lot better to build for the 3DS operating system as if you were an official dev

well it is a fan game, so if I get their sdk, I will be under their control. and people will saying it is illegal.

I agree, but my options are limited because I do not want Nintendo code in this game, otherwise I risk my game facing issues
