It's sideways because of how the 3ds does framebuffers. Everything gets rotated 90 drgrees on the screen for some reason. It's probably possible to fix.
Old post but WTF Nintendo? That would explain why some poorly performing 3DS titles without VSync tear vertically instead of horizontally. (SASRT, I'm looking at you)

Cool that Wayland somehow works on a 3DS. :O

I noticed that timing on it seems a little fast - atleast on a *new* 3ds and also trying to change the mmc sector size for the disk controller seems to lock the machine up. @xerpi is the base PXI stuff still being worked on?

I'm noob af when it comes to linux. I know it's a freely distributed os for pc. Honest question: what can you do with this? Not sure what the benefit would be running a pc os on the 3ds other than a poc. There's gotta be something I'm missing since quite a few ppl are excited about it. I'd know what i would do if there was a port of android for 3ds, which is run android apps. So, is this a similar idea? Like what apps can u run?

i realize it's wip. Just wondering what the point is? Not trying to be an ass or even imply that it's pointless. Just asking cause I'm ignorant of it's use or potential for 3ds.
The point is, "We do it because we can".

The thing is that its useless and the one who are excited are linux fanboys who don't even use this :/

Fangirls?
Enthusiast?
You call it
.... Calling enthusiasts, or people who simply are interested in it to play around "fanboys" is ridiculous, and offensive. "fanboy" is not a word with a positive connotation.

Perhaps they'd prefer that someone ported Windows Phone to 3DS. Then you could play all Xbox® games using Xbox on Windows Phone!
