With the latest version, whenever I click on a homebrew icon the launcher hangs, so I can't launch any homebrew apps. :( Also, the Reboot and Back buttons are glitched.

@mashers is there any way you could get this to display DSi Ware in title selector. And also have you forgot about my request for single rows lol. Keep up the good work this gets better and better with each update

  • Moving folders out of root: good idea, and will also remove the need to add the .hbfolder extension. Perhaps the whole config could go into /gridlauncher/ and then anything within /gridlauncher/folders/ will be added as a folder. Any thoughts?
Seems like a good idea. If you do it in another way, please consider config files going into /3DS/.gridlauncher

What exactly am I looking at here?

What hardware are you running on? I can't reproduce this here.

So i notice it tends to lag up pretty bad when you first load it and sometimes even freezes the system
Again what hardware are you running on? On my N3DS there's no lag at all and it doesn't freeze.

Could you make the settings and color settings screen respect the set number of rows?
I forced them to two rows because at one point there were nine icons and I didn't want one icon on a page on its own. Now there are more settings icons there's no reason why they couldn't have three rows if this is selected in the settings.

If I try to load a homebrew while the system titles are loading using the new threaded approach (choppy water animation), the system hardlocks. This is on New 3DS 10.1 Ironhax or Themehax.

In the latest update sometimes when I go into the title menu folder and select an app for instance the eshop the 3ds totally freezes for a few seconds then does not load anything then trying the app again does the same thing only way to get the app to Laod is to go back to main page that your homebrew apps are on then go back into title folder then it loads what you pick. It happens mabye 1 in 5 times I go into the title folder. If it helps I have original 10.1 3 3ds.Looks like something is not quite right on the way the title folder now loads compared to the old way with the loading screen

I can't reproduce that here, however I did forget to make the thread which background loads the titles exit when it is done. This might be related to the problems you and @SomeGamer are having. I'll have a new beta to try up soon.

@mashers your looking at a regionfree gaming exiting back to the HBL
Oh right. @mikeyisdead no there is nothing I can do to make this happen. The launcher doesn't make exit to HBL work, the exploit does.

I'm getting it too sometimes; it must be the background thread loading the titles that's causing the lag. Might also have to do with large homebrew. New3DS 10.1.0-27U on virtually all entry points

My other half has a New3DS and isn't interested in homebrew or hacking. I'll update his to 10.1 for testing. Interestingly I get no lag whatsoever on my N3DS, but maybe it's because I don't have many titles installed.

Would it be better to only trigger the background loading when you select the title launcher? That way when you select a save manager or the title launcher you will start seeing the titles appearing, but they won't be there waiting when you open it.

Maybe? There's another issue (I think) that causes a crash when loading large homebrews while this happens. If I can reproduce it, I'll see if a video can explain it better.

I used to get crashes when trying to go to the second page of the settings. I fixed up by deleting the .cfg files.
