using the bin from gateway in my o3ds a9lh v1 in sysnand 11.0, shows up the gateway menu but gives me a black screen when i enter in gateway mode

still must have the sysnand in 9.2, even with a9lh to gateway work???
If you are getting a black screen, after the gateway menu shows up, then it means it's seeing a non-existent emunand partition. How did you remove your EmuNAND partition? If you followed Plailect's guide to the letter you should have removed it via EmuNAND9's "Format SD (No emuNAND)" - If you formatted your SD by any other method, then that's what you did wrong. You have to go back and use EmuNAND9 and do it properly.

thank you!!
i'll try soon i get in home...

So im using CTRBootManager9 and I havent been able to get the Gateway.bin to boot from it unless i use it as a payload with Luma. But I used the file manager and booted the GW.bin i have on my sd card and it booted O.o??? Is there a reason it wont boot from the selection itself but it will in the file manager of CTR9?

Edit, also is there any way to remove your emunand without formatting? xD Id rather not sit here for a half hour just moving stuff off to get rid of it xD

Chain-load off BootCTR9. That's really the only way I've heard of people doing it. Otherwise, if it works through the file manager, keep doing that. I guess.

You'll have to look at the source and figure it out yourself though, as to why it might be working one way and not the other, and then submit your findings. I guess.

Sorry didnt see you replyed! I was messing with it for a bit and still no booting from the selection. I'll look into it more i suppose

Help me! I downgraded my old3ds to 2.1.0-4e with Gateway instruction. I can't start browser exploit. I tried a 50 times, with go.gateway.com and other mirrors, android apps. Browser version is 1.7455. Nothing seems to work. 3ds simply stuck with screen artifacts and thats all. So i even can't restore my old nand. Problem is I don't have any gamecard to update.

Is your wifi enabled? If you get it working again, use Plailect's guide. Gateway'a method has a high brick chance and not a very satisfactory end result anyway.

wifi and browser is fully functional (nintendo site works). but exploit is not working idk where problem is.
Plailect says
If you downgraded to 2.1.0, on Old 3DS, 2DS, or New 3DS but for some reason you have a nonfunctional browser, this guide is for you.

If you downgraded to 2.1.0 on Old 3DS or 2DS but for some reason have no functional NAND backups (with or without a functional browser), you can update to 9.2.0 by updating via a cart to 4.X, then following this.
But browser is working fine. Only gateway exploit makes problems.

As i see Plailect in his guide is prepairing emunand(he calls it rednand) to be copied instead of sysnand.
But in gateway's guide this preparations is automated? so i can countinue from Part 4 https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-4-(2.1.0-Downgrade)?
homebrew launcher isn't installed on my emunand.

Little update:
Gateway site says to use go.gateway-3ds.com/old/ for old browsers. but it unable to load page. lower screen shows GATEWAY 3DS LOADING... but on higher screen "unable to load page" pops up

Hey guys, gw's payload has stopped working for me. I get black screen after trying to load the payload. Any reason why this might be happening? ( I'm using latest luma)

I had the exact same thing yesterday. Put the launcher etc on de SD card over and over again, tried browserhax, ninjhax, cleared save data, everything until.... it suddenly worked again (haven't got a clue on why, but just keep trying, I guess)

Still don't know whether the a9hl installed can be configured in any way though.

I boot the gateway a9lh bin file from shadownand pressing dpad down button, this loads the binary with screeninit. By default it boots luma with no screen init

Now that I have installed the GW a9hl variant, what are my options? The o3DS now appears to boot straight into what used to be my emunand.

Questions I still have are:
How would I go about with recovery (if I needed that)?
Is there with GW a9hl any possibility to say, dual boot to Luma and GW?
Could I (without increased risk) install the original a9hl over the currently installed GW variant?

you can't use anything else with Gateway arm9loaderhax. the first thing you should do is remove it (restore a previous NAND dump), then install a standard arm9loaderhax.

you should have an otp.bin dumped by GW at the root of the SD card. use this with SafeA9LHInstaller for a normal install. then use GW's arm9loaderhax.bin to use GW features while being able to use other payloads as well.

Agree with @ihaveamac but for more detail - you don't have to do the whole guide. In fact it will only take a few minutes. Look for my post called something like installing a9lh on a console already on 2.1. 3 or 4 replies in, someone posted a reply with a bunch of links. Follow the one that has how to install a9lh on 9.2 if you already have OTP.bin. It involves using the .3dsx version of safearm9installer. I am assuming you have a NAND backup from 9.0-9.2. If your backup is from a lower version, follow instructions for updating to 9.2.

Yeah, found out about that after spending hours going through the Plailect guide.
Currently have a9lh installed through SafeA9lhInstaller, booting into Luma into a fresh RedNand. Now to figure out how to get GW running there again
