Yes, I do still stand by my statement of "Nintendo has never banned people for playing games early before", it was literally a fact.
However, things change, such is life. It sounds like the leaked game had a bad ID that Nintendo may have been and to use to find out who to ban.
Of course, only an idiot would play a game online before release, that's literally begging to be banned

It's highly unlikely Nintendo will ban anyone, as @squalow said, Ninty has no way to tell who just got a cart early, and who is using a pirated copy.

I'm just calling you (and others) out because it turned out you were wrong and you potentially misled other people into getting banned by spreading false information. So I'd expect this community to be a little bit more mindful before dismissing concerns or bashing others while not knowing about it yourselves.

and even then it was because of it not even releasing yet

Honestly, didn't even notice he was saying online, he posted like 8 times saying "Don't run it, you'll get banned". But here's the thing, until now, nobody had been banned for this.

As I said, things change, such is life, maybe Nintendo is cracking down more, maybe this leak was just really easy for them to notice because of its bad version number, shit happens, but what I said, when I said it, was the truth (Nobody had been banned for a similar thing before).

True even then its not even a perma ban at the moment people are saying it is a 15 day ban so in the end it is still a temp ban

it is legit, but you can't play/decrypt it until we have the seed which will be released the 18th (23rd if in europe)

I can't recall, does FreeShop get the seed based on the console region, or game region? If it's console region, it may get denied the seed until that region's release date.

the seed goes with the game region. Pokémon sun and moon are region free, so the seed will work in all regions. however, the games won't get officially released in Europe until the 23rd. everywhere else gets it the 18th

The seed is in freeShop cache. I eventually added it to avoid needing to check for seed existing when installing every title.

Australia is getting Pokémon Sun/Moon tomorrow so there shouldn't be a restriction on people with Eur consoles.

Yeah, but if FreeShop still used the old method, it might not be able to get the seed itself (Just as FBI probably won't be able to get the seed on EUR consoles until after the game is out there). It's a moot point since @TheCruel moved the seed to the cache, now he'll just have to build a new cache right away when the seed goes up

From previous experience, the seed has always been the same between regions (For the same titleid)

if it is region-free, then it is the same cia that would be on the eshop for all regions. same cia = same seed

First of all you can easily unbanyoursewlf and the ban is temporary its still safe to go online

You can unban your 3DS by using Decrypt9 and HXD ( on the computer) , it is easy to do , and you can do it as much as you want
