Is there a way to reconfigure the buttons?
I'm wanting to switch the destination from SD to NAND, but can't because of my broken L button that I have yet to get fixed.

Is it common for network installs to constantly fail? I tried sockfile, FalconPunch, and SocketPunch. All keep giving me an error after installing a few percentages of the CIA.

This is something I still need to look into, although my current theory is that it requires each write to be aligned to... some size, and when network reads return a non-aligned amount of bytes, this error occurs.

You need either a CFW or Gateway to patch out the need for a valid signature.

For a CFW you need a 3DS between 4.0-4.5 and for Gateway up to 9.2 with Cubic Ninja or Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Then you should be able to install the DS Profile Exploit to install a CFW.

cant find the "Nintendo 3DS/<id0>/<id1>/dbs/" directory on SD. Just create one?

Create it, then go to data management in settings, and it will fix your database.

EDIT: Actually, from what I CAN see, that's an invalid signature error. You can only install unsigned CIAs with signature checks patched through something like a CFW.

What will happen if I install an 'illegit' (that is not bought from the eShop by mself, not legit) .CIA (f.e. a converted game backup CIA) to the MSD on SYSNAND (without any modifications / CFWs loaded)? How will these installations show up in my home menu (if they do at all)? Or will something bad happen?

Without a CFW that has sig checks removed, the application just wouldn't install at all.
