Without a CFW that has sig checks removed, the application just wouldn't install at all.

Okay, and if I disable sig checks, then it will install. But, after a cold reboot (= sig checks in place again), how will the CIAs show up (if they do)? Or, will there be any problems on SYSNAND then?

You will have the icon of the cia, but you will not able to lauch it.

If you install .cia's with sig checks disabled then reboot the console - they won't show up unless you boot into the CFW again. It can't get as simple as that.

Sig checks = No Warez
No sig checks = Warez
Will it effect sysNAND - not really, the apps just won't load because they don't have a valid signature...

Just realized that this darn thing is case sensitive... went crazy trying to find out why xxx.CIA was not showing up on the list of things to select and install :facepalm:

One question is FBI more "clean"than bigbluemenu to install game to sd card or is it the same?

BigBlueMenu was made from parts of an official nintendo program, so I guess FBI is morally more "clean", as for efficiency, I don't know...

No speaking about efficiency if it is more "clean" to install with fbi or bbm cuz I don't know if I should trust bbm

About the installed titles list... I can already deduct that it is not possible to display actual title names instead of the cryptic serial numbers (otherwise you would have done that). But, maybe you could display at least some information that may help us find out what content each entry is? I'm thinking about install date, installed app size, things like that.

BBM is just Nintendo DevMenu with some hex editing to change the name to "Title Manager" and an awful banner THAT I HATE.
FBI and BBM are both well stable, so just choose what you want.
If you want to install .cias from SD, not caring about network installation, you can use BBM

If you want to install .cias over network, use FBI

Thank you but since I can install cia in sleep mode with bbm i will go with it and use fbi maybe one day for changing something to the nand

I don't know how but sunshell cia manager can display application names and title id at the same time

Sunshell contains a manually created list of title names.

So what if we create an online list that is completed by time and that you can download to the directory 3ds/fbi/titlelist.txt from fbi menu or with a key combination?

After cia's install the titles are decrypted and info like title names can be retrieved.

So basically there is 3 things i would like in fbi
1 apps title
2 install cia in sleep mode
3 number of bytes installed / total bytes + writing speed +time left

FBI used to do the 3rd item but it was removed to give better write times.

I understand but an option menu to chose what to enable would be cool and a secure mode inside that prevent you from accidentally remove key apps for the system
