Homebrew [Release] FBI - Open source CIA installer

all I ever get with rxtools is the file is always loading ala the older 3dses that was casued by the key not being found for games requiring higher than 6.x if i remember right even though Ihave all of the files necessary, when trying toinstall any CIA it gives me the same wonderful argument not supported.
It's 0x2f, it's a new 3ds xl with 9.0firmware rxtools ecfw(it has sig patching as the app is shown on the home screen) but it refuses to ever run for whatever the reason. I am using the latest rxtools build and this is the one thing keeping me from going forward as I cannot get it to ever run.It installs itself on sysnand just fine, but emunand after unlinking the nands it won't do squat.

On N3DS 9.2U CFW with FBI 1.4.15

Just installed two legit CIAs, played the games for a while...

Turned off DS, Loaded some more on the SD card.. legit and non-legit, now no matter what I install I get "Install failed! Could not open file." error

Am I missing something obvious? thanks

EDIT: moved one of the legit CIAs to root of SD card instead of CIA folder, and now it's installing. Will attempt with the nonlegits. I'm on a mac also (so all of the ._files show up in FBI).

I had everything working fine installed a bunch of game cia's, I then used the install all in directory it tried to install my fbi.cia and then asked if I wanted to delete it so I did. After I excited my FBI was gone on my system and now whenever I try to reinstall the .cia or any other I get a error.
I can successfully launch into emunand and everything not sure whats going on now.

Can someone explain what "WRONG ARGUMENT (0x8)", "DESCRIPTION INVALID COMMAND" are supposed to mean? After doing everything to downgrade, unlink, and format emunand I'm ready to install cias to make life more convenient, but this error repeatedly occurs with everything. Even FBI.cia has vanished from the main menu. Is there a common workaround for this or is FBI just that bad?

how? any guide?

1. Go to emunand
2. While on emunand, go back to the homebrew menu (Oothax, Ninjhax, etc...)
3. Go to FBI in the homebrew menu and install fbi.cia
4. FBI should now be on emunand

tried this already. didnt work. but i got it through rxmode fbi injection. thx my friend

My FBI on EmuNand doesn't launch, it says Cannot read SD Card?
Should I try inject it into Health and Safety? (Will this work on N3DS? I tried the Rxtool method but it says its missing info?) By doing Decrypt9 thing.
So confused lol.

Edit: Injected it into H&S Is there a way to removed that non working Cia?

I'm assuming you are using *hax 2.5 which allows you to put your 3ds to "sleep", and I believe that it could work, but no idea since FBI has been updated to officially support the latest firmware that has *hax 2.5.

Yes, I'm on hax 2.5 and I can run FBI through emuNAND and close the screen. The cia won't progress further, however. It'll stay at that % until I open the 3DS again.

It would need to have the option implemented to install CIAs in the background, so your going to have to deal with what we've got at the moment.

Using RxTools, you can specify where you want FBI to be installed.
You *will need to downgrade in order to install emuNAND/CFW, I think.

I think there's an official guide on setting up emuNAND from the downgrade thread, but I'm too lazy to look for it, so I just googled and got you the results. Basically, use Gateway Launcher to backup NAND, then format emuNAND to create it.(I think)

Google and search tools are your friend.

Also, make a copy of your SD card contents on your PC. Then backup NAND and copy that to your PC as well.
