Servers don't load on my screen, and when that happenes, I try to go back to the HBL but I the touch screen hangs at yellow.

When I try to load the servers, only one of them loads for me; the other one (which I think was Pokemon) gives me an error: 'Failed to connect. Try again.' The server's name changed, too, to 'cruels.net:5001'. Do I need to redownload the app, or...?

Oh, if it shows the server ip/domain like that (red text) that means the server probably was shut down or something or it just failed to ping/resolve it. In this case it probably crashed for some unknown reason. I restarted it.

Really liking this app so far, and I've seen you mention sound in the next update, so that's good.

Played with a bunch of "friends" and was wondering a couple of things:
- Emphasis on the Y/X/Start = chat/score/menu controls in-game (We didn't realize we could do X/Y until our points got around 40 or so.)
- Reset the score after a defined number of rounds. Also display rounds on the bottom screen
- Re-order the player list by their score, from top to bottom, or color-highlight the current leader
- Perhaps change your own message color to green or something to distinguish between players
- Ability for host to change rules, like time per round (default 60 seconds)/number of rounds
- Increase idle timer when trying to switch colors during drawing, and kick the player if they idle for 3 consecutive turns (or ability for host to kick)
- Password-protected rooms and display a lock icon next to it in the server room list
- Ability to send "hangman" letter hints to the players like iSketch (max of 3 hints: first one outlines the number of letters, second gives away a vowel, third gives away a consonant)
- Display timer on topscreen too
- Log including people leaving/joining, color-coded text

By friends, I bet I was probably one of them, heh.
Anyway, I like this whole list. Major thing, and he mentioned it, assets. Sound, cleaner menu selection, background music, etc. That would really polish things up.

But more so than that, I'm really, really interested in the potential for this program, specifically adding a feature that would allow users to send messages to each other using the same means the game is played with.
Essentially a Swapnote/Pictochat feature. You can either play pictionary in a server with folks, or send drawn or typed messages via a detected server. And to add to that, I wonder if there is some possibility to send messages while the app is inactive? I guess maybe you make a message, it gets held in the server, and when the recipient is online the message is sent out. Kind of like how you had to download new notes in Swapnote.

I would LOVE this, and I think plenty of other people would too, if this thread is any indication: https://gbatemp.net/threads/who-else-wants-to-see-a-revival-of-swapnote.411299/
Also, if you want help making assets for this like buttons, sounds, etc or prettier backgrounds (if you go the Swapnote route) hit me up, I can totally make some for you if it helps brings this to fruition.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like many of them. I'm working on two other 3ds projects atm, but I will release one more update for DrawAttack soon with a few nice features (including audio/voip). I'll also be releasing a guide for people to host their own servers. From there, my work on this (including new features) will depend on how active it remains. I won't put work into something nobody is playing.

As far as Swapnote goes, I'm not currently interested in such a messaging program, but I might be in the future when I'm finished with my current projects.

If you only add one audio thing, a notification when someone joins would be great. A few times I've had it open with no one else online, then someone comes on when I'm not there, I see something got drawn and I quickly start playing but they left because I didn't notice they were there quickly enough :-(

You mean like a sound effect notification? Yeah I'll make sure to add that.

Another feature that could increase the number of people playing: computer players that are available if nobody else is logged in. If it is possible to record somebody's drawing, you could have people vote that a drawing is really good (maybe hold L button), and if two or more people vote that it is good it is recorded and used by computer players.

When you're the only one logged in, a computer player draws from the list it has stored and you can guess to get points (you wouldn't draw).

Maybe you could have a "bad" voting facility as well (maybe holding R) and f a person gets two or more bad votes for a picture they get a warning and if it happens again they get removed (e.g. drawing a penis or writing abusive stuff on the drawing screen or generally refusing to play the game properly).

So anyway, if computer players are available then a single person might hang around long enough for a second person to join and have a proper game. Right now I think people log in, see there's no one on, and log off. Sohe chances of two people logging in at the same time are quite small.
