I've been on both sides of the coin for Apple and Microsoft.
Having worked for Apple using Apple Computers in a call center and using Windows 95 up to Windows 10 personally, I have had the worst problems with Mac than any Windows machine as a developer myself.
By Mac issues, I am not talking about general issues, it extends on limited availability, condensed stuff and other limited functions that Windows could easily do in seconds.
Apple basically renamed many things Microsoft pioneered and had to sort of 'dance' around these things to avoid being sued.
Plus, Mac OSX is a mess of things, that's why they keep adding these stupid 'search' functions to make it easier to unclutter your messy stuff.
From my personal experiences, using a Mac machine is like saying good-bye to more than half of Windows.
Any OS has problems, bugs, issues and so on... not all of them are perfect.
Sadly, Mac tends to get more 'political' fans and Windows gains more 'technical' fans.
I should know, on my very first day working with Apple, nearly everyone had an iPhone and a plethora of Apple stuff and I was the only one who was a major Windows enthusiast... I was largely frowned on.
The support team informed us of Apple only stuff but I was the only one who could figure out Windows had more than what they were saying, plus I got deep insider information to Apple machines and their tech.
I hate to say this but, OSX is a glorified Linux candy wrapper with a Unix backend... don't shoot it down because it was officially documented by Apple themselves.
Windows is its own thing and constantly attacked by hackers as well as Apple Computers.
No OS is perfect, so stop trying to say one is better than the other.
Mac owners try to make OS seem like its better than Windows because of Apple's horrible decision to make limited resources and tech limits too, which is very annoying for those who want to develop on multiple platforms.
Don't let OSX owners fool you though, a good portion of software for Mac was actually licensed from Microsoft because Mac is being used in corporate situations and thus needed Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and more.
I often feel annoyed by Mac enthusiasts because they often try to use the candy wrapper design of Apple to mock Windows.
Shut up with the OS wars, none of them win.
