(already spoke to this guy on IRC so not responding here again. His case was already solved, somehow, magically.).
I can confirm, everything works now and I don't have a clue why.

Just to be sure : I can only choose CPU Clock on NTR, not on this CWF? Because Pokemon is a bit laggy without this tweak :)
You load NTR on top of whatever CFW you run by launching NTR.cia.

Currently accessing eshop on n3ds 10.3 emunand so... seems working so far

- though I'll admit I was a bit freaked out by the regular "Ver." string in system settings.
Pokémon picross works as well. so...
* storms off to his local shop to buy a decently sized micro sd

Do more people happen to have this (or similar) issue (failing to boot Cakes.3dsx straight from HBL, no CTRBM)? I can't seem to reproduce it.

It occasionally fails for me, more frequently it will load but i can't see the menu, so i just blindly press A, but that's not really a problem since everything works anyway.

So, if i disable EmuNand boot and start it, it doesn't use firmware.bin and just patches sigchecks on the 9.0 firmware, right?

No. Please read the OP/FAQ more carefully: hopeful features mentions loading NATIVE_FIRM from NAND, install guide tells you to install firmware.bin unconditionally, FAQ has an entry on disabling "firmlaunch", and finally Cakes whines if you don't have a firmware.bin

I was just wondering if i still have access to a sigpatched 9.0 sysnand occasionally if i use a 10.3 emunand. If i'm using a 10.3 emunand and its corresponding firmware.bin, would i have to replace it with an older firmware.bin first to boot into a sigpatched sysnand?

edit: I'm guessing that's what the "firmlaunch" entry is trying to tell me? Seems like a hassle to have to replace the firmware.bin every time, i might have to keep a different CFW for sigpatched sysnand then.

No, unless you're doing something like downgrading. Newer NATIVE_FIRMs can boot older firmwares just fine.

I can confirm the autoboot fix on n3ds in 108 nightly as working. I'm still puzzled how n3ds 10.3 emunand launches my ds mode flashcart and has kernel suport but my 2ds won't do any of those (also a 10.3 emunand).

Just wanted to thank the Cakes CFW devs on some great work! Emunand 10.3 upgrade w/ autoboot works flawlessly so far. I've had no issues with the following setup:

- downgraded 10.3 sysnand to 9.2 on n3DSxl
- upgraded a Decrypt9 and a Gateway emunand from 9.5 to 10.3 (on 2 different n3DSxl)
- Retroarch GBA, SNES, NES, and Genesis CIA installed for retro gaming
- r4 SDHC loads, plays, and autoboots back into emunand
- high autoboot rate
- cia installation (devMenu) and overall speed of GUI in emunand seems a bit faster (could just be me though).

Again, great work and thanks for sharing this!!!
