I'm trying to boot into ReiNX and the system hangs on the splash screen. I can run Hekate just fine, but ReiNX doesn't work. I'm on OFW 6.1.0,I've tried the latest nightly build, the latest stable build and the version that comes packed with Kosmos SDFiles11.0.1. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using exfat sd card? If yes, try different sd card using fat32 format. Hekate can read exfat just fine, but once you boot to your fw, you will need the necessary update.

I am using exfat, by necessary update do you mean the official one for the switch? If so I have that installed as well. I will try fat32 though.

in your described situation exfat should be fine.

You should first double check and re add the sdfiles for reinx to your sd card from scratch.

second, when you say "splash screen" are you using autoboot or booting to hekate and then telling it to boot the CFW afterwards, and which option do you pick?

By splash screen I mean the one with the anime girl. I am not using autoboot. I've tried pushing the payload directly through tegrarcmgui and by going through the hekate menu. There aren't any options it just tries to boot the cfw.

So you mean with "stuck" that it freezes or shuts down afterwards? if its the second one i lately realized that reinx wont boot for me if i disable layeredfs, so if you did that through his toolkit, you have to manually move that file back to the sysmodules folder

woah i am completely lost lmfao.
i do not even understand what you are talking about.

basically i was running reinx 5.0 or so, i updated to 6.2 via ChoiDujour.
now, it stops on the reinx load up screen and i get error-
error: package2 magic invalid

then all i can do is hold the power down for 10 seconds till it shuts down.

This happened to me twice. Sucked I eventually had to restore nand then use choidujournx to upgrade again but this time system initialize. When you upgraded did you choose to system initialize?

As of reinx 2.0 layered FS is required to boot

Get latest version of reinx from the guide and remove the reinx.bin from your sd card

Why remove reinx.bin?
Because getting the package magic 02 error means you're booting a version of ReiNX that doesn't support the firmware you are booting and assuming you aren't on firmware 7.0, this happens when people don't update the ReiNX.bin on the SD card (even though the guide explains exactly what this is and how it works). So its just easier to tell people to delete it because they are more likely to send a newer version of ReiNX as the initial payload than have a properly updated ReiNX.bin on their SD card. This is all explained in the Troubleshooting section of the guide.
