Hacking Reinstalling a VC game, retrieved the saved game file?

I want to reinstall secret of mana with a proper banner (since mine has the default DK2 on it) and i was wondering if i can get my saved file, since i already got pretty far. is there anyway to do that? and would it work with the new wad?

if you backed it up on the sd then install the wad with the same name(the "RMCE" or something)

so i just back up the saved game on my sd, install the new version with the same wad name and transfer the saved game file back?

sorry, one more question, what exactly is this RMCE you're talking about? its not just as simple as renaming the wad to the other version of the game's name?

If the ticket of the game is the same, there won't be much trouble. By the way, that RMCP (or something) is the name of the folder which the Wii uses to identify the game. (Correct me if i'm wrong)

hmm i dont think they are running off the same name, everytime i try to transfer the saved game back to the wii, it keeps saying "must play game before transferring this to the wii"

is it because the original version was injected into dk2 and this mightve been injected by some other game?

edit: i found that one of the tickets is JAFT and the other is JMAN, since they are under two different names, how difficult is transferring saved files?
