redsn0w is jailbreak for iPod touch 2G, and is currently tethered to your computer(meaning that whenever you reset it, you have to repatch it)

Tethered means that each time you want to boot (not come back from sleep) the iPod you have to connect it to your computer and resend the redsn0w exploit, or else it won't boot.
No one knows, not even the dev team, when a regular version will get released, since they're currently looking for a solution.
Oh and please don't say iTouch, you don't say iClassic or iNano or iShuffle now do you?

EDIT: argh IPSWs are big, they take long to download D:
EDIT2: even more argh, libusb is telling me I have an unsupported system, and supposedly you can't install it on 10.5.6

a) those are instructions for Mac
b) it's for PwnageTool, not QuickPwn
