They must have some sorta camera and focused it around the screen(s)- or they made a "DS Camera" and haven't told anyone.

The one Nintendo uses is called IS NITRO CAPTURE. It's part of the official devkit, and there's no way in hell you'll get your hands on one.

Well I guess if you want to hunt down a rare device, disassemble your DS, physically modify the chipset and solder on the device. Oh, and don't forget some sort of device to run the composite into and record it.

    Otherwise, no.

There are so many gameplay videos of Jump Ultimate Stars on youtube and each one is really clear. That must have been impossible to be done on an emulator.

Thats the product listed a few posts above, the story has a broken link
Sadly the site global sources is a distro, doubt u will be able to buy just 1

ign had a story in ta blog on how they did it, its a connector solded into the DS hardware, with a audio/video convertor box connected on the outside via a cord

May I remind you that JUS uses only buttons (well, mostly) and the keyboard can be used almost as effectively?

You sir made Urza think you pwned him. You did not get it correct, you gave a way to record using a VCR/DVD recorder not directly from the DS. YOU SIR ARE WRONG.

That actually looks like a special build of Tetris that was probably designed for that event.
