So now with the GC backup loader, recommend some cool GC games here!

    I like:
    - Super Mario Sunshine
    - Mario Kart Double Dash
    - Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
    - Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (wii-controlled re-releases are coming this year though)
    - F-Zero GX
    - Zelda Windwaker + bonusdisc (with Ocarina of Time Masterquest, not available on VC)
    - Tales of Symphonia
    - Soul Calibur 2
    - Paper Mario Thousand Year Door

Paper Mario is a MUST PLAY. It is an amazing game. Just wait until you get to chapter 3.

What about Mario Strikers for the GC, that was really fun too!

If he has a wii, he may as well get "Strikers Charged".
I suggest getting both of the Baten Kaitos Games, WWE Day of Reckoning 2 (best game since the the n64 games), Simpsons Hit-n-Run (I liked it), Beyond Good and Evil (though if you have a soul, you will buy the game as it needs all the support it can get) and also the Timesplitters games.

Beyond Good and Evil is indeed a must buy. Too bad part 2 is gonna be PS3/XBOX360 only.
