Hacking REALLY noob question.

Ok so I'm planning to follow this guide to modify my Wii. I just want to know, do modded Wiis still have access to the internet? Like, can they still play wifi in Monster Hunter Tri? Or do you need a special plugin like you do with the PSP?

If it can't play Wifi, I don't really want to mod my Wii then :/

You can still play online just fine. Just don't do anything stupid (cheats online) and they likely won't even know a thing.

Though, do be warned that you shouldn't update as soon as a new one is available, it might remove homebrew. (Though, currently up to 4.3 is pretty safe)

Thanks. I think I'm on 4.3 or lower. If I follow that guide though, I'll have Priiloader or something and it'll prevent those future updates right?

As long as you enable the system menu hacks within Priiloader to block the updates.
