ReiNAND for N3DS contains some patches such as firm, signature and more on the latest build which aren't allowed to share here.
Ah, okay. Thanks for the prompt reply.

If you haven't place the Launcher.dat from [Gateway/MaxConsole link removed] into the root of your internal SD.
Make sure you're using the correct QR code for your region from the above download as well. To remove any QR code already in Cubic Ninja hold L + R + Y + X until a pop up appears.
Speaking of links we're not allowed to post; we're not allowed to link to either Gateway or Max Console because both host illegal content, in this case a Gateway release.

I haven't had a problem with directly linking to a Gateway release yet. If it's a problem, a moderator will let me know.

Good day! just wondering if this will work on n3ds fw 9.0.0.20? and does it require a gateway cart? thanks!

It will work for you and you only a cubic ninja cart. No gateway cart just the gateway launcher to format emunand.
sweet! thanks! im just wondering if yous got some instructions on how to install it? i already got the files from the pastebin

Set up Ninjhax (the original, not 2.0): http://smealum.net/ninjhax/

Then all you need to do is put the "reiNAND" folder containing reiNAND.3dsx and reiNAND.sdmh into Ninjhax's 3ds folder. The "rei" folder and reiNAND.dat file go directly on the root of your sd card.

Actually, you can't run any CFW from Ninjhax 2.0 even if you're on 9.2 or lower. @zackaerith007 will need to track down a copy of Ninjhax 1.1(b?) if he wishes to launch reiNAND via Ninjhax.

And now they have.

I wasn't trying to be a dick, 'twas just a friendly heads up :)

Yeah, I know you were just trying to inform.

Didn't actually get a pm which would have been useful. Anyway, I don't really see Gateway as warez (granted I don't know what's in their code), but now I know it's not allowed to link their updates here. :P

sysUpdater 0.4.1

  • More meaningful errors.
  • More error checking.
  • Fixed a few little bugs.
IMPORTANT: Don't run this with any sort of firmware spoofing enabled like Gateway mode/rx mode/whatever or it will brick!

That doesn't sound good.

So, I just backed up my SD, created an emuNAND using GW menu, restored the SD contents and tried to boot reiNAND. Got to the main 3DS menu and got the black screen of death. Is there an updated file I need or something?

N3DS 9.0.0-20EUR

That only applies if your in sysnand while in Emunand signature checks are disabled

Downloads\sysUpdater_0_4_1 (3).zip: Unknown method in sysUpdater.cia

Tried this a few times, still getting the black screen ("error has occurred"). Is there a reason why the N3DS version is 1/5th the size of the O3DS version? Am I using the wrong .dat file (one is 5MB, the other is only 800Kb)?

You need the older beta version of reinand to boot into Emunand with Fw 9.0.0-20.
Use the link posted some pages earlier.

For what it's worth, the beta version that was linked earlier didn't work for me and at least one other poster. The beta version that's been pm'ed around worked quite nicely though.
