Of course, but SoftChip also provides a way to test if the IOS works, that's why i didn't mention any other method to get the revision of the IOS.

Some people I know have been running into errors while using the IOS Downgrader and CIOS Downgrader apps, so I'm looking into this to see if this is a good solution for them.

A guide that I've used and told other people to use instructs to run the IOS Downgrader before the CIOS Downgrader, but this guide says the opposite. It doesn't really matter what order you do this in, right?

I'm currently running 3.3U, with HBC installed and working just fine. Is there any real reason to downgrade to 3.2U?

"6. Install the new(old) IOS the HBC uses with WAD Manager"

How do I know which IOS is used by HBC ?

I'm still using the old version, so i don't know if it's the same in the latest version:
Press home and it's written in the upper right corner
(For me it's IOS35, but i think it's because i didn't have IOS36 installed as i installed the HBC)

Thanks ether2802!!! THANKS!!

I messed up my IOSes trying to change region to my wiishop, and couldn't use trucha signed games anymore,
'cause IOS downgrader kept giving me errors, but your IOS list solved the problem!!

You will need to have a cIOS249 installed so the Wad Manager can work properly, serch for the running_pir8 guide Oct23rd FIX so you can achieve this, then.....

It's easy, cIOS Downgrader installs:

IOS30-64-v1040
Mios v5
BC v2
System Menu v289 (3.2U)

sorry guys, ignore my last post there... it says in the thread that everything is done with the normal wad manager.

my problem is, i recently got the "system files corrupted" message when entering the wii menu.
the only thing i can do is hold + and - at the beginning to enter maintenance mode (works!)
and boot up into starfall's recovery mode. i have deleted everything with Any Title Delete several times
and reinstalled 3.2U, also i updated to 3.3U with mario kart and even in 3.3U still got the
"system files corrupted" message.

After that, downgrading offline with this tutorial, i got back to 3.2U but still have the "system files corrupted" message
when i enter into the wii menu with the "A" button.

is it possible this has something to do with IOS9, 21 or 28 ? since there are left out?

i just don't get why there are still supposed to be corrupted files, even after reinstalling 3.2U.

Would be sooo awesome if anyone here has a clue on this.

I have a real offline downgrade in my sig... its been there for months. It's only for US, but if yu change the system menu wad you'll be all set to go with any region.

Would this work if I have 3.1U?

Could this work on a semi-bricked (Settings cannot be accessed) Wii? Will it fix the semi-brick?

Wii was originally 3.2U, then system updated with PAL Punch-out. I don't know what firmware I'm on now, I'm sure it's not 4.0 because there's no SD icon on the menu. Wii is chipped (unknown), no HBC installed (But can install).

Thanks!
