I do. Mainly on skype and such due to the wealth of people I've met via the internet (Nerdfightaria...don't ask). Most of the time its just shortened to "Jams" though so that's what I respond to most of the time. considering my name is actually "James" its not far off and I definitely prefer it as a shortening to "Jamie" or "Jimmy".

I'm also called "Jas" by a couple of friends (my initals are JAS)

Yet the correct pronunciation of Rydian was the way I originally thought.
(I tend to elongate my vowels, or in this case, semivowel)

I don't think anyone could pronounce mine.
Looks easy enough.
Doctor Octapu.
Or straight up "droctapu".

well, just so everyone is aware...
my username is pronounced:
Old-eight-oy
I recognise the 8 but I kind of merge "eight" and B in my head when I see it, because that makes it easier to think, if that makes sense. Easier to think being easier to say in your head.

nobody really knows my alias, and even if they did, it'd be difficult to pronounce it. :P

It's pronounced as sa-mi-da-re ('re' being an intermediate sound between 're' and 'le' because it's Japanese). It's japanese for "May's Rain" ('May' being the 5th month of the year), implying that I was born on may and I really like the rain. Most people tend to think that my name is Sam, thus Sam-idare (or that's what I'm guessing).

Because it's a rather rare/uncommon username, I would actually react if somebody said samidare
