rcm loader flashing green and blue

I tried to follow the directions on the xkit website about updating the firmware for the rcm loader one. While formatting the rcm loader it said there was a problem and canceled the action. Now it doesn't light up unless I put it into update mode by pressing the plus button while plugging it in at the same time. While in update mode and plugged into a pc, it doesn't show in file explorer.

I have a different RCM loader that never shows up in the file explorer.
You should be able to see the USB device in the device manager.

You could try to see if the update tool works even without the RCM loader being shown in the file explorer.
Someone mentioned here in the forum that he used another tool mentioned on the forum but doesn't mention which tool :

So maybe there are other tools out there that can also update the rcm loader.

I do see the loader come up in device manager but as a some unrecognized usb device. I did come across that post but failed to find the tool they used as well. I tried to use the tool from xkit and it says that the update is successful when preformed. Still no lights on the loader when I plug it into the switch tho and still not being recognized by any pc.

Unless is an original RCM Loader, you will be not able to upgrade the firmware, if yours is a "V5" from aliexpress or ebay is a fake clone. read more on https://gbatemp.net/threads/fake-rcmloader-dongles-in-the-wild.620470
