Hacking R4i SDHC Dual-Core 2017 with DSi

I have a question about performance because Im completely new to DS scene.

How is performance of GBA games with this card on DSi or any other model of DS? As far as I know even DS and DS Lite that have a GBA slot are emulating GBA games that arent played of cartridges but of programmer card. That creates a question about performance of this emulation, DS isnt exactly most powerful system so I have my doubts on how this emulation works in case of GBA and if GBA games play good?

No idea on the performance, but I will tell you one thing, that flashcart has a time bomb.

Yes, that means sometime in 2019 or 2020 the flashcart will no longer function or will "expire". The only fixes are to switch the date and time backward or use an alternative kernel, YSmenu.

This is certain that this card will fuck up eventually or its just possibility? I read some faqs on Reddit and while its updated all threads relating to this issue there are kinda old so dunno. Fix is easy anyway and as I played on my X360 not plugged to internet with 2005 date for all these years kinda used to that haha.

Yes for sure it will. So expect it lol.

someone really needs to write a timebomb disable patch.

since the encryption for firmware is known now (ntrboot is flashable) it should be possible to dump and decrypt the firmware, and from there work out the encryption for their kernel, and then write the anti time bomb patch.

At least i think it's possible.

I think it is possible too, the problem is the people smart enough to crack this isn't willing to do so, again the whole illogical mentality of "Newer means better ALWAYS" kinda ruins any potential for these things. People are way to stubborn to work on flashcarts, too busy with their damn 3DS consoles lol.
