Both Phoenix Wright and Story of Seasons are getting VR ports

Announced today during the Meta Connect, two pretty popular franchises are making the leap to VR: Story of Seasons and Phoenix Wright. More specifically, one of the more recent Story of Seasons games in A Wonderful Life, the remake of the GameCube and PS2 classic, and Dual Destinies, the first 3D Phoenix Wright game that originally launched on 3DS. Both got a fairly short trailer showing off new features, with Phoenix Wright allowing you to explore crime scenes much more vividly, and actually swing your arm forwards to present evidence to really get into it.

Story of Seasons by comparison looks a little more stripped back, reworking much of the game's UI to be VR friendly and turning the world into a series of smaller dioramas that you can look down upon and tweak with your hands.

At the time of writing, both titles are only announced for Meta platforms, with Phoenix Wright set to launch in 2027, and Story of Seasons not having a release date. With some luck we'll see these releases on other platforms in time.

The first and only M-rated Ace Attorney. I see it's listed as Teen on the Meta store.

Someone thought the 240p 3DS screen was too visceral and blasphemous for the youth but strapping this to your face in 4K? that's fine :D

Hmm if they could bring Pheonix Wright VR and RE4 VR to Steam.
The Steam Frame is sadly out ofbreach wothbit's cost but hey plenry of time to wait for the games and maybe the Frame to atleast improve for that high price.

Least it'll be interesting to see some streams of Pheonix Wright.
Hope to see more Capcom games get some VR treatment but I'd hope they'd all get on Steam instead and be non-vr compatible too.

Imagine a Zak and Wiki remaster, that could easily be in vr.
Heck VR in Dolphin is probably already pretty good juat gotta maybe turn off the camera zooms.

Clearly it's rated M for "Meta".

With the steam frame making waves, this might not be an accident.

VR console wars (or worse "VR wars") certainly sounds very sci-fi, but it's diminished by the kinds of games they're bringing.

Valve: "we'll bundle in half life: Alyx"
Meta: "oh, we'll bring...we'll bring...Ace Attorney VR!"


(but on second thought...wasn't there a character in Ace Attorney who constantly wears VR glasses as if smartglasses weren't dorky enough?

I'm a big Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons fan, but that looks boring to me. it just looks like you're playing FarmVille. Phoenix Wright looks like it would be interesting.
