Hacking r4i platinum

hello i have dsi with 1.3 firmware,in the sd i have kernel 1.34 but i can't play new games.Should i update to 1.4 or there is another software for this card?

Get a new cart, unless you can get YSMenu to work.

Like Gordinio said, see if you can't get YSmenu to work on it.
I don't think I've even heard of R4i platinum before, you're much better off buying a new flashcart that's not an R4.

nut i think ysmenu is working only in old r4

Sometimes YSMenu can work on some of these R4 clones, it's hit and miss.

I honestly can't say, I've neither used YSmenu or owned any R4 clones.

I have used Ysmenu on a ton of different carts, and never had it not work. R4s, about 10 different clones there of. A few of the no name older ones as well. Even AK2i. Configuring can be a pain in the butt, but with some trial, and error, I find it pretty much always works.

I bought an R4i to test and eventually resell it and its not a bad card, you can put AKAIO hack on it wich works flawless if you want the kernel I put on it wich is a mix of the last kernel of july 2010 and the AKAIO 1.7 send me a MP and I'll e-mail it to you.

The only thing I have to warn you and I can't seem anywhere else on the forum to get it more noticeable that the backup rom LOVE PLUS erase the from the firmware of the R4i Platinum (I don't know if other cards are also affected) the bypass for the update 1.4 of the DSi.

I tested myself 2 R4i Platinum and 1 got corrupted for DSi XL and the other wich never run that backup works fine on the same XL. The conclusive part comes when I tried the non-working-on-XL R4i Platinum on a DSLite and found that it works just fine.
