i got this r4i gold but the firmware available on the website is not working, even i tried to download some of the old kernel versions that where available years ago using wayback machine, i am trying
differents kernels using a 2gb microsd

This site hasn't been updated in such a long time. It's not even in there, at least check before you post it.

@Dark_192 I wouldn't download any random kernel that don't have anything to do with this cart. Clones have varying hardware and differences, and just because it has R4 in the name, does not mean that any kernel that starts with 'R4' will work.

You most surely have a DSTT(i) clone, which can be distinguished by the bulge above the sticker where the TSOP flash sits. The instructions I'm going to give are for your clone flashcart.

• First, format the SD card that you are using by downloading the SD Formatter Tool from the SD Association: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
• Download RGF's YSMenu v7.06 Kernel: https://gbatemp.net/download/retrogamefan-multi-cart-update.35737/download
• Extract the YSMenu .7z archive that you have just downloaded, then once you have unpacked it, navigate to the DSTTi-Clone YSMenu directory and copy all of the files/folders to the root of your SD card. And for games, create a folder named Games on the root, and drag-and-drop all of your .nds ROM files into it.
• In the SD card root, make several copies of TTMenu.datand name them as follows:
  • R4i.TP, iLL.iL, config, 3DSCARD.dat, R4i.3DS
• You can now safely eject the SD card, re-insert it into your flashcart, and boot up your console with the flashcart inside.
  • If the flashcart doesn't boot on a DS(i) or 3DS system, then the possibility that the cartridge was blacklisted in a later system update is likely. You can fix this by installing Custom Firmware (CFW) onto your desired system; https://dsi.cfw.guide / https://3ds.hacks.guide (this doesn't affect previous-gen DS consoles, such as the Original DS and DS Lite).
