By firmware do you mean the kernel that runs the games or an update to get it working on a higher DSi/3DS firmware?

both, i dont know where to find any of the files to upgrade either

im also pretty sure this is a clone? i have no idea this was the only 3ds supported one i could find that i could use paypal to pay for
