well , I THINK they did a good job falling back to a 2.0 firmware just to try to stop the brick wave , but they did bad in not telling so and just putting it as a 3.3b version ._. , I hope they fix for real the problem when my 3dslink gets here or at least I can use 3.0 ( without emunand of course , I just want game compatibility..)

LOL these idiots actually did repack their 2.0 launcher and labelled it as 3.3. Maybe they got notified about the random bricks and they though that removing the emuNAND launcher can prevent this or who knows.

And in case I was not clear, it's this time is exactly the same file that comes in the 2.0 download.

weird. Im on 3.2 with a normal 3DS and have had absolutlely no issues.

Well I had some courage and tested this 3.3b launcher on my 3DS. Very strange behavior ensued. After I entered my profile, my 3DS went to menu and my game showed up, but I couldn't play it because I had parental controls enabled. I don't know what happened, but I think it had something to do with Emunand not working?

yes jajasilver , if you haven't read yet , some 3dslink and r4i users ( and 1 gateway but seems for another reason) have gotten their console bricked , and seems the fault is emunand with the new loaders...


ED: emmmm aXXo , like we said this is a 2.0 , this means no emunand... emunand doesn't work with this loader , if you want to test something , get 3.0 and try to see if your ds holds. As of now , the only thing we know for sure is that the bricks are the fault of EMUNAND ON the latest firmwares... so we should give up on emu nand for now ( I wasn't going to do it when my 3dslink get here..)

Really? I went through the posts, I guess I couldn't filter through the endless circlejerking. I just went back to 3.2 and everything is normal again. I was afraid it corrupted my emunand and I wand have to do that whole "update emunand to 7.1.0" business again.
As for why this doesn't work, I think it's apparent that emunand is either not functioning, or requires you to "format emunand" in the launcher menu to get it to work (which I doubt).

EDIT: I read about the bricks. Was this for emunand or for the entire 3DS (realnand and emunand)? I don't know what's causing these bricks to suddenly happen, but it must be serious if R4i removed emunand.

So instead of fixing it they roll out a fake "update" with no current features to look cool?

I'm sticking with my working 3.2 and emunand support, my cart is useless without this feature.

don't know if 3.2 is safe , on the spanish forum the first broken ds appeared when the 3.2 was out not 3.3

Great (sarcasm), I don't like the firmware spoofing method because it feels like I'm one stupid wi-fi switch bump away from updating my 3DS. At least I picked a good time to find myself playing DS games using the blue card and neglecting any 3DS games.

Agreed, any card without Emunand is pretty useless (or at least one HUGE step backwards) . And I'm also sticking to 3.2 and emunand.

Do you have a link to any of those bricking forums/threads? I would like to read people's experience with the bricking before I actually decide what to do.

it's in spanish , but 3ds/r4 team removing the newest firmware for one that doesn't have emunand I think it's enough proof

Well ATM it seems it's affecting the clones more there is 1 or 2 effected using gateway but one of the people using gateway said it was after going to data management, rather than just random, the clones appear to be happening randomly......just after powering off etc, I'm just waiting to see if gateway have anything to say on the matter

i dont know what people are talking about but my gateway works fine and its on 2.0b and has the latest Nand

What bugs did 3.0 have? didn't see much people complaining.And no , 3.3 and 3.0 have different crc so they are not the same , afaik 3.3 had tons of bugs and is prolly the culprit behind so many bricks

They haven't done so with 2.0 and 3.3b
