Hacking R4DS or CycloDS Evolution?

I'll favor CycloDS but all i do is want to play games, so I'll stick with R4DS(Until Later)

I'm planning on switching too, unless the R4 gets some firmware upgrades before the CycloDS cards come back into stock. The R4DS, while a decent enough card, doesn't fully support the apps I want to run.

There will always be a market for slightly used R4 chips... probably break even on the deal.

The new will most of the time take over the old. So the R4 team will probably make an R4 2 or W/E to compete with the CycloDS. But by next year I'm hoping to get a CycloDS

i guess r4 is better because of the cost, im not gonna pay extra money for 5%better "touch screen menus" and a couple extra game support

The new firmware update for the R4 that's coming out soon supports SDHC, pokemon battle revolution and more.

R4 already supports 100% download play

No need to buy a new card, save the money and wait for the new firmware.

so you chose the R4DS because it's the most popular?... i favour the cyclo DS everytime now because i'm impressed with its features, it's gui and everything else, it's nothing about being a fangirl all over it, it's because the cyclo DS is future proof for now.

They said the same about the ps3

I already ordered my R4 from Dealextreme here last Saturday.

Maybe when I get the R4 I should sell it on ebay if you're allowed to and buy a Cyclo...

The CycloDS es definitely better, the only reason I had to buy an R4 is because the CycloDS is sold out everywhere but the CycloDS offers more.

Thankfully the R4 has been improved a lot and if firmware 1.12 comes out soon with everything Costello said it might have then the CycloDS will only have a few features to its side.

What features does the Cyclo have that the R4 doesn't if update 1.12 comes out with all that stuff that costello said? Only problem I have with my r4 is that you have to select all these folders before getting to games... can't you just have game selection on the first screen? And what would be awesome is if skins came with music when you see the skins. That would seriously rock

Cyclo DS Evolution hands down. But, it's only slightly better. It's still better though.

Not $20 more, just a few(usually five to ten depending where you go). But you also get what you pay for.

I have them both, and I haven't used my R4 in months(got it last January). It's a good cart, definitely. But the CycloDS is a bit better. No doubt about that.

Plus TeamCyclops is just kicking ass. The R4 or SCDS1 wouldn't even have full download play support if TC didn't bring it with the Evo. And who knows, they might actually deliver on Real Time Save. Another feature no other cart has.

I ordered a R4, because I like to keep it simple. Cyclo doesn't seem that much better from what I've read. I don't know what people mean with more touch screen support, could care less about PBR, and the R4 already has 100% [?] Download Play. And for the cheat system; like I'm ever going to use it. That sucks the fun out of the game.
So my vote goes to the R4.

I would KILL for that feature. If I am in a subway going to work and cannot save, I really don't feel like putting the DS into sleep for next 9 - 10 hours

They are both excellent carts. In fact if you get a G6DS,SCDS,R4 or Cyclo you will be fine IMO
