Hacking r4ds cheat help

i need help putting cheats on pokemon heartgold i found the file but when i put it in the system folder it still doesnt work

i just want to make my heartgold cheat work and pearl

If your R4 can run v1.18 then you should be using Wood R4.

The official firmware has problems with large cheat files, Wood R4 does not. Secondly, if you were running Pokemon HG on v1.18 then it was probably patched which is another reason why the cheats weren't showing. Install Wood then get a clean (unpatched) ROM.

The same place you get all your ROMs. If you're using Wood R4 it WILL work.

If your stuck with using the patched ROM then you can edit the game ID in the USRCHEAT file to that of your patched version.
