Still had something on my hard drive.

One of the tools did appear up on filetrip as well
http://filetrip.net/f6199-EZ4-deluxminiSD-bootstrap-restore.html

As for the multiple saves I messed around with such things on the EZ3 at one point but the EZ4 is a different matter. It does involve making new files which the EZ4 (and most DS flash carts) are quite bad at so it is probably best to make files of the appropriate size extension (copy and rename). It is very much in uncharted territory and I would sooner just find a file name manipulation option of DSorganize or something.

I have a EZIV Lite, tried cory's ez4 ostool http://filetrip.net/f27302-EZ4-OS-tools-1-0.html
(ez4_fullrestorer gets stuck on:
"setting OS mode open
OpenWrite
Erasing 4M OS chip");

tried the bootstrap restore http://filetrip.net/f6199-EZ4-deluxminiSD-bootstrap-restore.html
which tells me that it worked and to turn off the nds; but it hasn't done anything.

Tried gba-mode-switcher which just boots the game in NOR.

I don't want to hear about what an idiot I've been for using gbaexploder to dump a game in my NOR; it's done, I'm stupid and I would really like to know if there is a fix.

Would passpatch work in this case?

I doubt it would do much for you but even if cory1492's site is down I believe the functionality was added/replicated in DLDIrc http://psychowood.altervista.org/getDLDIrc.html
Also you might have overlooked a step but I seem to be lurged up right now and can not really concentrate.

Thanks FAST6191.

I used DLDIrc on the .nds files from cory1492's ostools using the dldi settings for my r4 (running wood) and ez4; neither seem to make a difference.
I was think that it could be that the ez4.bin may not be compatible with my ez4lite. Is there a bootstrap for the ez4lite?

No idea but to try to be helpful I assembled my beat up collection of various EZ4s and dumped the lot
EZ4 original. Proper first commercial batch stuff here (I did not enter myself into the prerelease stuff for whatever reason). I mention this mainly as I am not sure if anything happened in later years when they came to make a new batch.
Oddly or perhaps not this dump finishes exactly at 220000h.
EZ4 lite. This was from a competition so it might be a earlier/prototype batch.
EZ4 lite deluxe. Several of us grabbed a couple of these in (checks emails) June last year when we found a Spanish site (neoconsolas although they have since vanished) that were selling them for less than most regular EZ4s go for these days. Judging by the serial numbers late 2006 vintage.

I would not read too much into the differences- I flash different loaders and skins often enough when testing things for people that wander into our IRC channels. If I was less lazy I would do a proper breakdown (same skins and same base version) to see if I could learn something.

Still a collection of the lot.

No EZ4 lite compact but others reading if you have one and somehow managed to brick in a manner that this sort of tool could save it from it I would probably say give up. I know a lot of the pre 2009 of DS games are nice to have in addition to whatever you have in the DS slot (you do have a DS slot device right? Right?) but there is holding onto good tech and well this is the equivalent of still running windows ME in 2012.

Thank you for your help, FAST6191. That didn't seem to solve the problem.
I guess I'm resigned to a bricked ezflash iv, my reason for owning one was to play GBA roms without emulation.

I just want to thank FAST6191 and cory1492 for your efforts, I have seen many of your posts here and on http://ezflash.sosuke.com/ Your hard work is really appreciated.
That goes for all the other guys here too!
