Hacking R4 White screen on boot

Some guys gave me an old r4i sdhc dual core and told me if i could get it working for them i tried using it on my a9lh 3ds it boot but i tried playing a game and i got white screen it had a homebrew on the sd card and it worked i tried using ysmenu now when i try to boot the r4 i get a white screen without the loading message does anyone has a clue?

Maybe you could use the SD formatter to format the sd card first, and then put on the sd card the correct firmware as well as some ds roms, then it should work.
If still not, it might be faulty.
