Hacking R4 SDHC for NDSL/NDS with GBA_Backup_Tool installed is unable to restore my GBA save files

I have an R4 installed with the GBA_Backup_Tool and I'm using it to edit my save file of Pokemon LeafGreen with PKHeX. For some reason, it's unable to restore it back into the cartridge. Whenever I've tried restoring the edited save file to the cartridge, it just goes to 50% and it does not display that it fully completed the process. And when I'm unable to restore the save file, the cartridge resets itself back to its factory setting as if it were brand new.

I'm using a DS Lite with an R4 v1.18
GBA Backup Tool v0.21
Pokemon LeafGreen v1.1
