Hello,
After having tested for some days a firmware I recently found, it's incredible, it has runned every single game I play on my flashcard. U can't tell how happy I am b'cause I have been searching a way of making it work like it now does for a very long time.
Regarding to some problems I pointed out the last time I posted, the letters in the stylus screen are now viewable (guess it was firmware stuff after all), but I can't do the same for the upper screen (it stays the same as in my previous pictures, no numbers nor letters in the calendar, date and hour). However, I don't care about this as long as I can keep playing like before. Second aclaration, do you remember when I said that the flashcart was ignoring every game save it used to read before??, the answer is quite more firmware cases. All my game saves were in .sav format because that's how I wanted them to be and I set this on the setting screen before I had no letters on any display, well, when I installed the kernel that it's working and which is my current one, I went directly to the options and saw that it was reading only .nds.sav format (Idk if I wrote the format well). The curious part is that I never modified the settings, it misbehaved by it's own along with my missing numbers and letters.
I updated my flashcart to 7.0.0 according to the official website Techmaster told me (btw bro, the 2013 kernel didn't work and I didn't try the 2015 one because as I was fine with my current one, I didn't feel any need of doing so) and when the installation finished, the flashcart was able to run any game with no crashes or lags. Hooray ^^.
So, I want to make a mini-tutorial I followed for the people that might be in this problem with this very specific type of flashcart:
1. Download my attached .zip
2. Format your microSDCard to FAT32 if your car doesn't have that format already.
3. Decompress it and take everything to the
root of your microSDCard (everything except the .png file, that's for clarifying that your flashcart is the right one to do the procedure).
4. Put some games on it (I put them in the root of the microSDCard, if you wanted to know).
5. Insert the microSDCard to your flashcart, and the flashcart to your 3DS.
6. Turn on your 3DS and wait for the Home Menu to load, press the SpongeBob's Atlantis Squarepantis THQ icon and wait for it to load (if it gets stuck on loading... screen, just return to home menu and take off and reinsert the cartridge in the slot until it gets passed of that screen, but I didn't have any problems to be honest).
7. Select microSDCard on the R4 Menu and then scroll down to the very last listed thing and run a program shown as "DS Program File". It will check your firmware version and will see if it requires an upgrade (I was before in version 6.3.5 and it took me to the version 7.0.0). Wait for it to finish and when it's totally done, press the power button until the console powers off. IMPORTANT NOTE: I have no idea about what will happen if your 3DS runs out of power or you take off the flashcart while in the upgrading progress, so please plug in the adaptador/charger before doing this and try to be on the wifi signal and don't get away from it at least when the process is over.
8. Turn on the 3DS again and select the R4 icon in the Home Menu and wait for it to load (again, if stucked on loading... take off and reinsert the R4). Once in the menu, press START and then press HELP, and as you can detailed see in the below part of the Help, it says wood menu version 1.7.....
9. Delete the "DS File Program" file if you followed everything, because you won't need it any longer and will it up your space.
I want to clarify that the 3DS detects the cartridge at it's own without the need of any microSDCard, but if you load this "SDless R4", it will get stucked on loading... screen.
Now you can play every single DS game you want, from easy running Picross 3D and New Super Mario Bros to the heavyweight Mario & Luigi Bowser's inside history and Pokemon B/W 1 or 2 . I've tried every game I put as example and it is perfect.
Also, it's obvious that you need a 3DS/2DS XL/Normal Size with Luma3DS and B9S for this to work because of the patch to TWL Luma3DS automatically applies when is installed. If you have a 3DS/2DS XL/Normal Size console and your firmware is in 7.0.0 or below (you can check it on System Settings, it will be shown down to the right in the upper screen) you can use this mini-guide and it should work too.
Cheers everyone ^^
