but 2gb of space.
That is a hardware limitation of the card and not a software problem of the kernel. The wood kernel works with other flashcards that support more than 2GB as well.

the wood kernel hasnt been updated since 1.6.2 (2013
There havn't been new DS games since then.

Can you post a screenshot of the SD card's content?

i would reccomend an R4i 3DS SDHC RTS as it supports nds ndsl dsi and 3ds and is being actively developed on (as apposed to being dead since 8/12/2013) and can be used with upto 32gb
Its name s actually R4i-SDHC 3DS RTS :3 but yeah. It's a good cart.

I know, I meant the cart you misnamed.

but the original r4 is what were talking about, and it only supports 2gb
Sure, the r4i-sdhc.com card is better than the original r4 when it comes to SDHC support. But the wood kernel is better than the r4i-sdhc.com kernel in any way (that's not the sdhc support). And there are flashcards wich support the wood kernel and sdhc cards which are superior to both cards.
But this is about getting an original r4 running. The best kernel for that card is the wood r4 kernel.
