Hacking R4 not working on DS Lite

i had a thread going but its gone now for some reason..

i have the original r4 upgrade revolution i was using it with the original ds then i found it again and im trying to use it with the ds lite now

ive tried several kinds of kernals for it im just stuck on the black Loading screen

ive tried an 8gb sdhc microSD, and two different 2gb non-sdhc microSD cards

any ideas??

Try this with the 2gb non-SDHC: http://gbatemp.net/threads/wood-firmwares-v1-62-update.352802/

If it doesnt work, reformat the 2gb microSD then try again.

Okay it didnt work so I reformated the microsd 2gb non SDHC to FAT16 32KB
that didnt work.. it just takes me to the regular ds start up menu

whats the microsd supposed to look like with the kernal on it?
