Here's the situation: I'm on 3.15, with a PSN account created ad hoc to use along the PS3 for the exploits (downloaded the PSP demo, purchased the TN-X game, etc). Oh, and I only have a memory card.
I also have a PS4 with a Plus account.

Here's the question: can I switch accounts on the Vita in order to take advantage of the monthly free Vita games? Or can I put the PS3 and the Vita on the Plus account and still keep all my exploits (considering all the hacking operations took place on the ad hoc account)?

Thank you for the help :)

P.S.
For those wondering, I created an ad hoc account for the Vita in order to avoid banning or other problems in case something went awry. Was it a dumb or a smart move?

There's not much reason to keep your Vita on the account with exploit games. You can get most of those exploits, or exploits which are equivalent, for free.

The only thing I purchased was Sports Superbike 2 (in order to use TN-X), and it was dirty cheap, so it's fine :) What I'm worried about is that I'll lose part of the exploits because they're based on games I downloaded from a different account.

You will lose access to that content and those exploits when you switch accounts.
But it doesn't matter because there's free PSP and PS1 exploits for any account.

I'm not sure about this. I'm in Europe, and things like the Echochrome demo didn't work for me (the Ape Escape demo did the job). And do you know of any PS1 free game that will work for TN-X?

Also, should I start from scratch with the hacks if I decide to switch accounts?

Dump the following files
vd0:registry/system.dreg
tm0:npdrm/act.dat
while on each account.

This pair of files links your Vita to your PSN account, and writing these to your console will allow you to switch to that account instantly.

You can use this method to swap your accounts without having to format your memory card.

Yes, this could be a solution. A bit of a pain, considering I should repeat the procedure each time I want to swap...
I'm considering keeping only the Plus account. I don't mind re-buying that single game, but it sure sucks to have to repeat the whole hacking procedure from scratch...
And is there any reason to fear for my account? I know nobody has a crystal ball laying around :)

You're right, it's not hard. But I was now checking the firmware requirements for the Vita games offered on Plus, and my 3.15 is way too low for them. I guess I'll just wait for better tides then :(
Thank you for the assistance though :)

P.S.
Any chance you could help on this?

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
