Is it pointless having more DDR if your CPU it low?

for example: if you have 4GB+ of DDR2 and your CPU is Atom (330) 1.6GHz or lower....

For most of GBAtemp yes it is, servers can deal with lower clocks/weaker CPUs but can almost always use more ram.

Frankly though most people would struggle to go above 2 gigs of usage if they set their computers up correctly and stopped with the scanner, phone, router...... background junk.

you should not need more then 2GB with that CPU
