Yes you can

You can if you install either WADs from another region or random IOSes.

It can do the original softmod, or full resoftmod, or an incremental update based on a provided syscheck.csv

I tried to watch a dvd using wiimc, but the nitrate was horrible and the audio was unlistenable! Is this a one-time thing or is this just the price you pay for media on the wii?

WiiMC apparently is very picky on what DVDs you use, some even crash the system.

Try burning a movie onto a DVD-R and see if that resolves anything, make sure that you use appropriate software that can create DVD Video discs.

I'm using vWii through my Wii U for most of my Wii needs since my current Wii is broken and I'm not sure what's wrong with it. My question here is... I'm looking to play a fan translation of a Japanese game coming out relatively soon and I want to know... do I need to somehow break the region lock on my vWii (though I'm not sure how since I can't use priiloader) or will Riivolution just load the Japanese game w/ the translation patch without any further hassle?
The game in question btw is the Wii version of Chibi Robo.

Oh I have no blank dvd-rs (or a computer with a disc drive for that matter)

Not sure if it requires having online functions set up or not, but if it is, you'd need to set up Wiimfii (if you haven't already), and the game (MK Wii) should be patched (disc or otherwise).

For me I'd patch the ISO with Wiimmfi but then it requires extracting the contents, patching the files needed, and then recompiling it. But you'd be better off using the Wiimmfi patches through HBC if you're not an expert at that.
