Do they run good and the same speed with the Regular New Nintendo 3DS as they do with the New Nintendo 3DS XL

It can be, but XL has better specification than the N3DS "lite"

well i have an n3ds xl and downgrading it to the reg n3ds because it looks better and of course custom plates and thats why i need to know
so i can still play my retroarch cores with same speed as xl

They have the same hardware. It'll run the same.
