That's wrong. It's only GBA and NDS/DSi that needs CFW.

Sorry, I missread. Well, them SHOULD work as far as I know, but never used a Gateway so I'm not in the topic to answer this LEL.

Gateway patches FW to avoid reset when a game like MH4 or Smash launches or closes. That patch is not compatible with playing GBA games, use Cake, I think that is the best solution. In my opinion, best than RxTools. (But Cake is not region free), Since Cake can be launched with MSET at 4.X, wich Rx can't, Use Cake, and if u need regionfree, launch with browser Rx.
