I want to sell the system and it has about 50 games installed on the memory card. Can the person make new profile and still play games and also is it safe to play online or update.

If there's no NNID on it they can make a new one. If you mean the profile of the system then no, if they do a factory reset the games will be gone. They can play online and update (make sure you have Luma 9.1)
