Hacking question about custom taxes

i live in NYC and im planning to order a g6lite and passcard 3 from hopebuy, will i have to pay customs
does marking the package as a lowpriced item reduce chances of having to pay
anyone that lives in ny want to tell me if they had to pay

That's interesting. I'm a brazilian and I used many techniques to avoid customs, like declaring lower prices, as a gift, declaring from a person to a person(never the store name) and so...

It would be good to hear about another countries taxes. Nobody from NY to share any info with us?
