I can't seem to find a topic that gives a clear answer, so I hope I'm not posting something redundant. I'm a proud owner of an R4DS btw. XD

1. NDSMail setup - after patching the file with DLDI and copying the .nds and .xml to the root of my micro sd, is there anything further I need to do, say, like creating inbox and outbox folders for the mail client? I did a preliminary test of booting up NDSmail (without specifying a mail server yet) and there were some messages stating that folders for inbox and outbox were not found. Any idea what's wrong?

2. Which free mail services provide pop and smtp server info? I don't wish to use my mail service from my ISP, so I was planning to create a dedicated mail account for NDSMail only. I hear hotmail doesn't let you know the pop and smtp, how about yahoo or google? Are there any others that can be recommended?

3. Regarding save states for emulators like NESDS and SNEmulDS, I understand that the save states are written to the SRAM of the DS. If you wish to remove the save states at a later time, how do you go about flushing the SRAM clear? For that matter, would having many save states saved to the SRAM affect the game performance of my DS?

4. I successfully ran DSFTP on my DS Lite, but for some reason I cannot access the FTP server using the SmartFTP client on my PC. The only thing I did was to change the user and pass fields in the .conf file to my own custom userid and password. Any advice on what went wrong? Should I stick to the default userid and password that the DSFTP creator specified?

Uh.... hasn't NDSMail been out for sometime already? O_O For that matter, if you're in the R4DS forum, but don't know about NDSMail... >_>' Same for the SNES emulators too. To answer your question, SMW only runs at 78% speed and has graphical glitches.

... wait. Wasn't I the one supposed to be asking, not being asked?

Plus, you've been a member longer than I have you know. XD

Anyway, just a bump. Hopefully someone with experience with NDSMail can enlighten me? Same for save states and SRAM as well.

lmao, that person just needed a bunch of generic replies to boost their post count so they could access the trading forum ;p The only parts of your question I can answer are that NESDS doesn't allow saving just yet on R4 and SNEmulDS saves are actually written to a file from what I saw the little bit that I tested it. I've used DSFTP with a custom user:Pass, so I don't know what the problem there is. And I believe google does allow pop access.

1) Inbox/Outbox/Feeds will automatically be created. For more info, check out that Dummy Guide. It helped me loads.
2) I'm not sure. But the official site recommended bluebottle.com
3) I have no idea
4) Sticking to the default is fine, just a preference. Once you got your DS lite connected to the router, it might take some time before being able to connect to your FTP client. I had like 1 successful connection after like 10 or so attempts.

LOL at the post count fella.

Oh right, forgot to mention that I solved the DSFTP problem already. XD My bad. Also, it's time to track down one of my Gmail enabled friends to get an invite.

So SNEmulDS saves to the.sav file then? That's good to hear. I am using the version that was temporarily DLDI patched at the moment.

Many thanks guys. appreciate it.
