Hacking Push for more EDGE/iEDGE support

If people don't email them and complain there's no reason for them to give us new firmware updates more than 5 times a year. Here's a letter I emailed them, along with their reply and my response to their reply. I suggest all of you EDGE/iEDGE owners do the same (but in your own words of course). Their email is [email protected] and I'm sure you all know that this isn't the first title we've had to wait for. Imo... being months behind other cards by the time a new firmware comes out is not acceptable and shouldn't keep happening.

Could you please forward the information to the R&D team? The game already has workarounds and/or firmware updates for the following cards:

1.Acekard 2/2i/RPG
2.M3i Zero/Real
3.CycloDS Evolution
4.Supercard DSONE
6.G6 DS Real

Yet the EDGE has been left out in the cold. Your paying customers deserve firmware updates more than 5 times a year, and I don't know why beta firmwares aren't released like the CycloDS has. If the support for my EDGE card continues to lack the necessary updates to keep up with current releases - I guess my next purchase surely won't be the iEDGE.

Hmm I am going to send them a email too. Even though I don't have a EDGE. The edge team usually updates when the Cyclo team updates a new firmware not beta.

EDGE is a CycloDS clone anyway, so why not just get CycloDS in the first place?

On topic: Will e-mail them, i am sort of annoyed with this fact that FW updates aren't as usual, but i don't really use my ds much.
Mind you though the EDGE team do update on a regular basis, they updated with a a fix of GTA:CW and they were one of the early few that did so
maybe its because they have limited bandwidth or something so they just wait for a comprehensive update.
anyway here's hoping they do release a fix.

Looking at their changelog, they only had 5 updates in 2009.

their updates usually came aropund a time when I game was being a pain in the butt or when they released a comprehensive update and it was quite often but now it's almost asif they've died.

in 2008: 12 updates
in 2009: 6 updates
in 2010: 1 update so far

whats it going to be a total of 3 updates this year?

how long does it take for the support team to reply to e-mails? I've never had to e-mail them before and they so far haven't replied to my e-mail

i didnt see acekard update their card, only cyclods made an update for sonic and they are the owner of edge

thats pure speculation, show some proof.

the fact that we are complaining is because they used to be on the ball with releases and updates but now there is barely anything. they used to be pretty much always first to release a compatabilty update now they lag behind so we have the right to complain if you hadn't read my previous post I'll quote this but of it

As for people saying "buy this, or buy that"... this is the EDGE section. If I were interested in buying another card regardless of price - I'd go post on that section. Another major point is that the iEDGE was just released not long ago and if they want to keep current customers & gain new ones, they'll have to keep up to date as much as everything else does.

do people not read? this is like the thrid time across the forum someones asked "why push for support? buy another card" e.t.c.

I'll repeat what I've said previously (several times)

they are slipping even if they did release the iEDGE, they are not releasing updates like they used to. they EDGE may be a clone of the cyclo but there are clones of virtually every card out there so there's no argument there.

The only reason why team cyclops dont update the Edge more often is because if they did there would be less incentive for people to buy the CycloDS, but now the iEDGE has been released hopefully the speed of the updates will improve.

Give proof that team cyclops is the same team for the EDGE? do you have any? because I see none. So stop posting this, team cyclops isn't updating the EDGE as much nonsense it's starteing to get boring and annoying
