Gaming psx game help

all right today i started to play digimon world 3 (i made the eboot) my problem is that it freezes every time i enter certain rooms. does anyone know how to fix it? could it of been the iso or that i don't have pops loader?

any help would be appreciated.

oh yea in case it helps my psp is on promethius 5.50
