Does anyone here know how to hex the pbp so it will use a different spot to save. The only solution i have found is to use a different base.pbp.

I'm confused, so does this mean we can download/rip teh ISOs or .BIN files, put them on the PSP and play away? Because if it does, I'm gonna cream my pants. Fuck NES games, it's time to get Soul Blade and Dragonball Final Bout on the go!

it's exactly what it means

i'm playing Xenogears as we speak

PE is allready converted

and Cronocross is next

I've converted .mdf files so its not .iso files only. I can see someone releasing these with the manuals, screen shots and save points all for that game.

alrighty, i got my psp for Christmas today

and much to my luck it is a ic0013 or something like that its not a ta 82

unfortunately the firmware version is 2.81

so my question is, can i downgrade safely yet to 2.71 then downgrade to 1.5 to install the new 3.2oeb or whatever it is. and also can i use the psp transfer cable with windows 98 second edition? or do i have to have windows xp?

eitherway with psx isos running, im getting the psps transfer cable and my 2gb memory stick within the next 2 days, so if someone would let me pm them concerning what to do without bricking my psp and getting this to work, id be the happiest person on earth.

ty, and hompefully someone can give me a helping hand

dont know what i could offer, but id be eternally grateful

Please give me some HELP HERE!!!!!

Hi guys

I am looking at getting a PSP to do this!!!

I have a couple of questions

(1) Some what type of PSP do I need to do this?

Is there a model number or a year of make that I should get (IF SO PLEASE TELL ME). I'll probaly get a secondhand one (PSP).

(2) Do you use an SD card / memory stick to save your PSP games to?

(3) After I get my PSP are the next steps HARD?

Thanks Heaps

I've upgraded to OE-B. I think it's time to get a bigger memory card

Amazing work by Dark Alex, PS1 games on the go.

oh man, and i just got $300. I'm seriously debating getting a 1.5 psp off of ebay this second. Ahhhhhhh, why couldn't this have come out a week ago so I could have asked for one for christmas/birthday!?!

final fantasy tactics, final fantasy VII, castlevania SoTN, metal gear solid and xenogears all work for me...
NTSC version, I don't know if the PAL ones work

You can do this by hex editing popstation.exe, you don't need to edit the actual eboot.pbp at all. For example:

I just did MGS so I used a Hex Editor to search popstation.exe for ''4476'' which is part of the folder name saving location for Hotshots i.e ''SCUS94476''

I then changed this to SLUS00594 but you can use any folder name you want. After that I searched for 'Hot Shots Golf'' (Name of the save) and changed this name to Metal Gear Solid. After this I saved popstation.exe as (pop.exe)and ran it to compile the new MGS psx game.

Another thing I did before compiling the new eboot.pbp was to place custom MGS ICONO.png and PIC1.png in the same folder to give it a nice custom icon for the launch eboot and the save game.

There is a list of official save folder names for all of the Psx games, that is where I got the folder name ''SLUS00594'' for MGS from, also you will want to have the same folder name code for subsequent CD images like CD1, CD2, CD3 etc.

By the eway, I can confirm that this works perfectly, if you look at my save data folder on my Psp memstick each save is seperate for each game with the individual and correct names.

This maybe the single most important thing on the scene this year.
Dark_AleX is truly a genious.

Poor Sony, wonder what will they do next.

I just picked up a 1.5 PSP about a week ago and upgraded it to 3.02 OE-B.
Seems like an exciting time to be getting into it.
I got Front Mission 3 running.
This is awesome!

I finally get round to upgrading my devhook to 0.51 but I'm still put off about install this... 3.02 whatever it's called to run PSX games..... but then again, the prospect of playing Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is tempting for me to read up on tons of tutorials.... er.... actually... is there a guide that even a fool can use that anyone can recommend?

As tempting as it is to play xenogears and SoTN I'm going to wait for a 3.02 downgrader just in case the homebrew doesn't run as well as it does in native 1.5 firmware.

What the heck, I'll update to 3.02 OE later. I've been keeping 1.5 for a long time because the was an app that let me read manga on it and I'm worried it might not work.

This isnt 3.02, its 3.02 OE-B. Meaning its open ended. It is literally 1.5 +3.02 + extras. Well, minus Korean language and location free.

yeah, you are free to downgrade from this version anytime...
the only problem with it, is that saves made using devhook hybrid version wont be recognized, meaning you will have to keep devhook to play them, or start a new game save....
also, there is a installation package for 3.02 OE-A at psp-hacks, just run the .exe and then run the progam in your psp...after that download the small OE-B update and you are ready to go!

Thanks for mentioning that since I didn't realise that saves from games played in devhook can't work with 3.02 OE. But I just installed Devhook 0.51, do I move all the stuff to GAME150 or something?

no no, saves made with regular devhook work, just the hybrid versions have problems....as in version 0.46 with 2.83/3.0 support
if you were using one of those, you either put the devhook eboot(leave the dh folder in the root of memory stick, the iso folder too, since the firmware loader looks for them there) in the game150, or hold R while booting the system and change it from 3.02 kernel to 1.5 kernel, so the game folder can be used for 1.5 eboots, and the game150 folder for the others one(you should rename it though...or just delete it, if you are only using 1.5 eboots)
