Hacking PSP 1000 3.03 OE-C Jailbreak advice

Hi all,

New to the forum so advanced apologies for any breaches or repetitive questions.

So i have dug out my old PSP and it has as you can see from the title 3.03 os and is jail broken.

It still has my original Pro Duo 2Gb card in it and works a dream.

So i decided with new technology around i would upgrade to 16Gb Micro Sd and an Adpater.

I format the Micro SD in my PC Fat32
Insert in the Pro Duo adapter and bosh into the PSP

I format again for good measure, though never prompted to do so

I connect the PSP to my PC

All seems well i can see the PSP directory on the memory.

I copy across retro arch to /GAME with a couple roms disconnect and go to play..

I can see retroarch app under the main menu of Game \ memory stick, it even changes the wallpaper when highlighted. However when i launch it the screen goes blank it thinks for about 30 seconds and shuts down.

Ive tried the same with another micro SD same again...

Am i skipping an essential step?

If i revert back to the official Pro Duo it works a dream.

Are you sure it's a authentic micro sd card?

What adapter are you using? Some of them are picky and duds.
