Make me.
I'm comfortable using it.
Why? There's no need to use something so outdated.
You're just inconveniencing yourself for no reason.
Why not at least use duke_srg's updated fork or better yet Luma?
I've been a long time RX-Tools user.

I moved to Aureinand/Luma, because they are up to date. No offence, RX-Tools is not bad, but obsoleted :)
Exactly. It was good for it's time, but now it's time to move on.

Most people only use CFW to run pirated games. They don't care for extra features as long as it works. I really liked RxTools when i downgraded. I would use it right now if it had A9LH compatibility.

This is what the thread should've been about. It is outdated, and I don't think anyone is arguing that. However, just because it's old doesnt mean it's bad. The newer CFW have more features. At the same time, if you already have an RxTools setup, and you have no need for those additional features, then really why bother?

This pretty much why I've stayed in the 2.4 sigpatched version for a very long time, lol

It worked, so why bothering.

If you have A9LH, why do you use emuNAND?

I know this wasn't directed at me, but my answer is because I still like to utilize the browser exploits for the Pokemon games, as in rsavout/in. Though outdated, it's still the easiest, and for me the only known method of redoing things like events or battles (which helps because the party data is not affected). Plus it's quicker. All it would take is doing rsavout, then using rsavin multiple times to fill 5 party slots with a Pokemon claimed by the MG woman. Whereas the other option would be to backup and restore with a save manager and edit on PKHex to where it's like I didn't claim the event.

Anyways, I am interested in what the new rxtools under development will entail. That out of the way, this thread's existence and message reminds me of the toxic nature of this forum. As someone stated earlier, this is flame bait, and even the thread title indicates an annoying amount of self-righteousness. But the OP did say "please," that's the only positive to mention.

A9LH may be a religion to this sub-forum, but RxTools is a cult.

Let's all report this thread before shit gets down
I don't understand why you're so offended. If it were truly just individual opinion and user preference, why even care if someone says that you should switch from RxTools? Why so upset?

Really this thread would make a lot more sense if rxTools + 11.x = brick or something of that nature, as it stands right now, pushing people off of it when it works for them, isn't really the greatest idea, imo.

Ok, how about this for a reason to move? It was discovered WHILE RXTOOLS WAS ACTUALLY BEING DEVELOPED that the NAND backup feature genned backups that, if flashed, would BRICK THE CONSOLE. Don't get me wrong, it was good for it's time, but here's the thing. If you're going to use it? At least update the damn thing once in a while.

It just werks for them
When it doesn't freeze that is.
90-95% boot rate is just good enuf™
right guys?

Because newer CFWs are actually supported.
It being old doesn't make it bad. Being obsoleted makes it bad.
It just so happens to also be old.
A9LH may be a religion to this sub-forum, but RxTools is a cult.
A9LH users have ascended, and seen the light.
The rxTools users are the sheep who drank too much of the kool aid.
This thread is just flame bait.
Only to users who don't take good advice.

I still use gateway to try games before I go through with the cia install and to use their cheat engine. So since gateway doesn't use updated sysnand I'm stuck using emunand for the time being. I'm hoping that when they finally release their a9lh support I can ditch the emunand and use Luma and gateway off sysnand finally.

How do I switch to a new one like luma do I keep my emunand.
Copy Luma3DS.dat, and /luma/ to the SD card root. Place a firmware.bin file in /luma/. Launch Luma3DS.dat through CTRBootManager, or the Luma3DS homebrew through the HBL. This will put you in the same emuNAND as you had before, with all your data, you will just be running a better CFW with frequent bugfixes and patches.

Gateway I get, because they don't have A9LH support as of this moment, but RxTools emuNAND I don't get.

What part of "It does what they need the cfw to do" do you not get, exactly? It may be lacking in some of the bells and whistles that the more recent cfw have, but it DOES still load up games just fine (last I knew anyways) and that's really all most people want out of a cfw.

Umm, rxTools was BUILT for bells and whistles. One of which was FATALLY flawed.

But people are ALWAYS coming into this section complaining about bugs with RxTools.
