The CUPS printing system, developed by Apple for UNIX systems and found in most Linux distros, has been in the news lately for a critical undisclosed 9.9 vulnerability in which an attacker can execute arbitrary code through an infected machine. It is HIGHLY recommended that you do disable or update those components when possible.
A guide to disable them can be found here: https://xeiaso.net/notes/2024/cups-cve/
