Hardware PS3 Update problem...

Hey everyone!

I bought a PS3 without a hard drive, and now I want to install the system software on a hard drive I have in the system. Problem is, I can't get past the "Press PS button" screen. I've tried using a keyboard, a mouse, and a PS3 controller (3rd party), and it just won't get past that screen!

Do I need to have an actual OEM controller? My controller has a "Home" button on it, but I'd think that it would act the same as the PS button.

Yes you need an official controller, and a 2.5 HDD if you don't have one.
